Tandoori Gobi



Cauliflower / Gobi has got many health benefits,eating those deep fried gobi manchurian........,na na na.....,not at all a good idea for all those weight watchers.So
obviously the next thought is the baked version of it.These days as i'm striving hard to include more veggies in diet with  minimal oil i'm baking most of the veggies. As cauliflower/gobi being one of the healthiest vegetable as it boosts heart health,helps in detoxification  and has many digestive benefits too. But its too sad to know that the amount of pesticides they spray on this vegetable.......! Better opt for a organic cauliflower. Here comes one of the simplest,tasty recipe of cauliflower,tandoori gobi which is marinated with those desi spices and baked/grilled till crisp .Enjoy this tandoori gobi with mint chutney.

Ingredients:

PrepTime : 15 Mins + 2 Hours (inactive) |Cooking Time: 25-30 Minutes | Serves: 2-3

Cauliflower: 1 Medium Size head 
Hung Curd:3/4 cup
Ginger garlic Paste:1/2 Tbsp
Gram Flour Roasted/Besan Roasted:2 Tbsp
Turmeric:1/:1/4 Tsp
Red Chilly Powder:3/4 Tsp
Coriander Powder:3/4 Tsp
Garam Masala:1/2 Tsp
Chat Masala:1/2 Tsp
Ajwain Powder:1/2 Tsp
Kasoori Methi/ Dry Fenugreek leaves:1 Tsp
Lemon Juice:1 Tsp
Olive oil:1 Tbsp
Salt As Required

Method:
Rinse and chop the cauliflower florets into medium size.Bring water to boil,add salt and add cauliflower florets .Keep it in simmer for 3 minutes,turn of the heat and let it rest for 8-10 minutes.Drain water  and keep it aside. 


Take around 2 cups of curds and hung it in a cheese cloth,it takes around 45 minutes to 1 hr to get around 3/4 cup of  thick hung curd.Roast gram flour till you get nice aroma.In a bowl take hung curd ,add roasted gram flour ,ginger garlic paste,salt,oil,lemon juice and all other spices mix well.


Add florets into it marinate well and keep it in refrigerate for minimum 1 hr (you can marinate for 5-6 hrs ,it tastes yum).Preheat the oven to 200 deg Celsius .You can either Grill /Bake or grill-bake both for around 25 minutes till corners of cauliflower start browning.


Once its done serve it  hot with mint chutney/Mayonnaise dip  .
