Coconut Chutney

Coconut chutney is very famous throughout South India. Though these days every one tries to avoid coconut
thinking there is more cholesterol in fresh coconut its not absolutely true. Using moderate amount of coconut has got many health benefits because of its strong antioxidant properties.Coconut chutney is accompanies with many of our morning breakfast and evening snacks.

Ingredients:
Category: Accompaniments| Prep Time: 5 Minutes| Serves: 3-4

For Grinding:

Fresh Coconut : 1/2 Cup
Puffed Gram: 1 Tbsp
Greenchillies: 1-2
Jeera:1/2 Tsp
Curry Leaves: 2 Strings
Coriander Leaves: 1 Tbsp
Asafoetida: Small pinch
Salt:3/4 Tsp

Tempering:

Mustard Seeds: 1/2 Tsp
Channa Dal:1 Tsp
Urud Dal: 1Tsp
Curry Leaves: 1 String
Dried Red Chillies : 1 ( Broken into pieces)
Oil :1 TSp

Method:

Grind all the the ingredients under grinding into a coarse using little water. Heat oil ,add mustard seeds once it crackles add  channa dal,urdu dal ,curry leaves and red chilly,pour it into the prepared chutney and serve with dosa , idly,  akki roti and many more.......!
